The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) wants to develop new campsites, cabins, and sanitation facilities in an area not prone to flooding in Whitewater State Park, the Winona Daily News reported. The new campground would include 45 to 50 new campsites with electric service, four cabins, three group camps and two new sanitation facilities. The Circle J Campground and Circle J Restaurant in the Bennett Spring, Mo., area were seized Monday (Sept. 29) by federal authorities for unpaid taxes, the Lebanon Daily Record reported. The seizure has left people who live at or who rent space at the campground scurrying to remove their property by the end of the day today (Sept. 30). Deflated directors of the Florida State Fair Authority shot down a developer’s proposal Monday to build a hotel, an RV park and a field house at the fairgrounds, saying they expect more money and more “wow,” the Tampa Bay Times reported. Several families who expected to be staying at Circle 9 Ranch in Epsom, N.H., this winter are scrambling to find new housing after a foreclosure at the $1.1 million, 144-site campground and RV park, the Concord Monitor reported.
