Road’s Expansion Will Cut Into A Texas RV Park

Plans to improve Veterans Boulevard in Palmview, Texas, run right through a local RV park, television station KGBT reported. The city reached an agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation to expand Veterans Boulevard — which is also State Highway 495 — from a two-lane road to a four-lane road with a center turn lane. Port of San Diego staff members in California issued a request for development proposals Oct. 24 for a first-class destination recreation vehicle park on the Chula Vista Bayfront, the port said in a written announcement. Starting Tuesday (Nov. 1), Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park will charge for all overnight camping as part of a plan to meet national standards for parks with similar visitor amenities, according to an announcement from the park.
