A Chickasha, Okla., staple is expanding this year following upticks in the energy sector, the Express-Star reported.

Pecan Grove RV Resort will add just under 20 new sites and a service building to the grounds over the next six months.

Owner Glenn Snedeker said the expansion has always been part of the plan, and two more could follow after this phase’s completion.

“We hope to have this finished by the fall,” he said. “The energy sector, oil, wind and solar are helping.”

Sneaker said the park’s residents are a good mix of permanent and transient. He said about 30% of the population calls the park their full-time home.

Travelers also stay at Pecan Grove, according to Snedeker. He said word of mouth and a solid rating have resulted in travelers stopping by Pecan Grove.

Snedeker said this could be considered phase three of five phases, and when all is said and done he hopes to have 146 spaces for rent.
