Simple living is possible at Pine Lake Campground in Bishop, Ga., for up to three months now, and the park is looking to expand, the Oconee Enterprise reported.

An expansion of the RV park got a favorable recommendation from the planning commission with a condition that occupancy of the spaces and cabins shall not exceed 90 days. On Monday (April 17), Commissioner Maria Caudill was the lone dissenter, voting against the proposal because the aforementioned condition changed last minute from 30 days to 90 days.

The special use request for Pine Lake Campground to develop 16.8 acres will now go before the county commissioners on May 2.

Pine Lake Campground is seeking approval to build five one-story cabins, a one-story bathhouse and 34 gravel campsites, each with water, electric and septic connections.
