Campground Developer Receives Initial Approval

The Grand County (Utah) Planning Commission recommended on Tuesday (Jan. 9) that four action items should be forwarded to the Grand County Council for final determinations.

Two of the agenda items — a conditional use permit for an RV campground and a plat amendment in the Whitehorse subdivision — passed unanimously, according to The Times-Independent.

If the county council approves the conditional use permit for the proposed campground it will allow owner Dan Stott to build the park, which will feature 34 campsites, a manager’s residence and a bath facility on 4.76 acres. According to Grand County Community Development Director Zacaria Levine, staff was “supportive” of the idea while preparing it for the council.
