Digital AGS Guest Guides Reaching Millions

The online versions of AGS guest guides have generated over 3.5 million impressions since 2011, as increasing numbers of campers access guest guides online, according to a press release.

“We’ve seen a net gain of over half a million clicks on our guest guides since last year, which gives our advertisers tremendous exposure beyond what they receive with our printed guest guides,” said Michael Moore, general manager of AGS.

AGS is a division of Crowley, Texas-based Texas Advertising, and produces close to 1,000 guest guides for public and private’y owned campgrounds.

Campground guest guides are powerful marketing tools, both in print and online, Moore said, adding that AGS continues to be best known in the campground industry for its printed guest guides, which establish a unique identity for every park and promote brand loyalty.

He said the content also informs guests of park policies, amenities and local attractions.

AGS also offers an online presence for its guides through enhancedcamping.com, which hosts the guides in a digital format using an Issuu program that parks can link to, thus increasing their online exposure in the marketplace.

AGS’s Issuu program has its own analytics, which enables AGS to monitor the online impressions of its guest guides. AGS has logged over 3.5 million impressions for its guest guides since Texas Advertising acquired the company from Good Sam Enterprises LLC in 2011.

“We think it’s important for parks to have both printed and online marketing materials,” Moore said, noting that the printed guides assist in referring traffic to both the parks and advertisers website.

Online guest guides are also essential as more and more guests use tablets or smart phones to access park information, according to Moore.

Online guest guides are a component of AGS’ hyper-digital campaign, launched less than three years ago. The campaign also provides parks with responsive web design and digital services like blogging, SEO and e-newsletters.
