After tallying all the figures, Campground Owners of New York (CONY) announced their member campgrounds across New York State raised a total of $108,699.73 in donations for Camp Good Days and Special Times during CONY’s sixth annual statewide fundraising event for charity held throughout 2017, according to a press release.

Over the past six years, CONY has donated over $500,000 to the Mendon, N.Y.-based organization which supports children and their families whom are dealing with cancer.

“We are grateful to all of our CONY member parks, as well as their campers and supporters, for helping us raise our second largest annual total yet for Camp Good Days,” said Don Bennett, president and CEO of CONY. “Camp Good Days provides a service to children and families dealing with an awful disease – a service that is unmet and we are proud to help them provide these services.”

Throughout the 2017 camping season, CONY campgrounds raised funds through various activities in their parks and through the support of their campers. The total donation was presented by CONY leaders to Camp Good Days and Special Times representative James McCauley at a special ceremony on Nov. 4, during CONY’s annual exposition held at the Turning Stone Resort in Verona, N.Y.

Since its inception, Camp Good Days has served more than 45,000 campers from 22 states and 29 foreign countries at its camp, located on the shores of Keuka Lake.
