ARVC Team Goes To D.C., Part Of Advocacy Day

On June 6, 13 representatives from the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) joined coalition partners from the RV Industry Association (RVIA) and Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) on the Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. for RVIA’s Capitol Hill Advocacy Day, according to a release from ARVC.

ARVC participated in 46 separate meetings with members of Congress and staff to raise awareness of issues affecting the industry.

Following a successful day on Capitol Hill the ARVC representatives joined fellow Advocacy Day attendees, members of Congress and administration officials for an evening reception recognizing the RV Caucus Members on Capitol Hill.

ARVC members attending the event were: Al Johnson, ARVC chairman, of Mount Rushmore/Hill City Kampgrounds of America (KOA) in Hill City, S.D.; Adam Malsack, of Lake Arrowhead Campground, Wisc.; Ann Emerson, vice president & publisher of Good Sam Enterprises, Calif.; Jim Calderbank of Moonshine Creek Campground in N.C.; Joann DelVescio, executive director, New Jersey Campground Owners Association (NJCOA); Mari Garland of Junction West RV Park in Grand Junction, Colo; Scott Swanson of Gila Bend KOA, Ariz.; Steve Cross of Cross Creek Camping Resort, Ohio; Tim Cartmell of Honesdale/Pocono KOA in Pa.; Wade Elliott, president of Utility Supply Group in Kingston, Wash.; Paul Bambei, ARVC’s president and CEO; David Basler, ARVC’s senior director of marketing and communications; and Jeff Sims, ARVC’s senior director of state relations and program advocacy.
