B.C. Campground Gets Approval From Council

Summerland Council in British Columbia has signed off on a 15-site campground, according to

No one spoke at a public hearing Monday (June 11) on the rezoning of the property to allow the business.

“Our campground is very family friendly, quiet and will have one central fire pit because we are scared of fires too,” said property owner Leanna Jewel. “I think that Summerland needs some affordable accommodation for families to come and enjoy our town.”

A rate sheet attached to the report to council shows the campground will charge $30 per night for RVs and $20 per night for tents. “Glamping” pods will also be rented for $149-$249 a night.
