Attendees of the New Jersey Campground Owners Association’s Fall Tour were able to network and discuss issues with other campground owners/managers.

The New Jersey Campground Owners Association (NJCOA) saw more than 40 members attend its annual “Fall Tour” Oct. 2-4 in New Jersey’s Skylands Region.

TripleBrook Campground in Blairstown, and Delaware River Family Campground in Columbia, both hosted portions of the event.

NJCOA Executive Director Joann DelVescio told that attendees toured Camp Taylor Campground and visited their haunted house, as well as had an arts and craft lesson from Jean Taylor on fall crafts.

Attendees also enjoyed a tour of Brook Hollow Winery and enjoyed Merlot Milkshakes.

A tornado watch during the evening on Oct. 2 provided time for more networking and discussion. On Wednesday (Oct. 3) night, clear skies allowed folks from the United Astronomy Club of New Jersey to bring their telescopes and and attendees were able to gaze at the stars in the sky.

During sessions attendees heard from Don Newman, from the New Jersey Business Action Center; Loel Muetter, from the State Department of Health and Jeff Vassar from the State Office of Travel and Tourism, on all things related to camping in New Jersey.
