Wisc. Officials Reject ‘Discrimination’ Claim

Walworth County, Wisc., officials released this image from what they say was an illicit campground operated by John Neighbors on his property for an Alpine Valley concert crowd.

Walworth County, Wisc., officials have rejected a race-discrimination claim seeking $3.5 million filed by the operator of an alleged campground for concert goers at Alpine Valley Music Theatre, according to the Lake Geneva Regional News.

The action by the Walworth County Board means that accused campground operator, John Neighbors, must take the county to court if he wants to continue pursuing his discrimination claim.

Neighbors, who is black, was cited this summer on suspicion of violating county rules by operating an improper campground on his town of Lafayette property for Alpine Valley concert goers.

Neighbors later accused the county of targeting him because he is black, seeking $3.5 million in damages.
