Cavco Reports Significant Revenue, Net Income

Cavco Industries Inc. a Phoenix-based manufacturer of park model RVs and manufactured housing, reported its fiscal results this afternoon (June 12) for the fourth fiscal quarter and full year. Net revenue for the quarter was up 11.7% to $198 million, and for the full year up 8.6% over fiscal 2016 at $773.8 million. Cruise Inn Network Of RV Parks Ends Operations

In a move that surprised many in the campground sector, the board of the Cruise Inn brand — one of the fastest growing names in private RV parks — voted last week to end its operations three-and-a-half years after its launch, Cruise Inn personnel told Woodall’s Campground Management. RVIA: Park Model RV Shipments Continue To Climb

Park model RV shipments in April rose 8.7% compared to the same month in 2016, continuing an upward trend for the year, the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RIVA) reported. For the first four months of the year, shipments reached 1,456 units, marking a rise of 9.6% compared to the same period last year. Sun Communities Reports 34.2% Revenue Boost

Sun Communities Inc., based in Southfield, Mich., reported a 34.2% rise in revenue for the first quarter of 2017 compared to the same quarter last year. The real-estate investment trust, which owns RV and manufactured housing parks across the U.S. and ONtario, with a total of 118,550 sites. During the quarter, Sun acquired an RV park in Plymouth, Calif., paying $13 million for the 328-site park.
