Leavitt Stands by Jumping Pillow Coverage

August 31, 2012 by · Comments Off on Leavitt Stands by Jumping Pillow Coverage

Jumping pillows — fun but sometimes risky for adventuresome campers and a concern for campground owners.

Leavitt Recreation & Hospitality Insurance (LRHI) announced it will continue to provide policies without a “jumping pillow” exclusion.

This commitment comes after a major insurance carrier in the RV park and campground industry recently communicated that “jumping pillows” will be excluded on their renewal policy, through conditional renewal, due to a high incidence of claims coupled with some severe claims, according to a news release.

LRHI has access to other insurance companies who are not including the exclusion.

“As the market continues to tighten, we expect to see other carriers restricting coverage, increasing premiums or tightening underwriting requirements,” said Chris Hipple, vice president of LRHI.

LRHI has specialized in the RV park and campground industry for over 25 years and will continue to work with carriers to ensure stable and high quality insurance solutions.

LRHI is affiliated with the Leavitt Group, an organization of independent insurance agencies with 115 offices across the United States. Clients look to the Leavitt Group for property and casualty risk management, employee benefits solutions, and individual insurance policies. Clients also benefit from the consultative approach to risk management found within the culture of each office and the unique flexibility that comes with local, on-the-ground agency owners.

Leavitt Expands Campground Insurance Program

September 7, 2010 by · Comments Off on Leavitt Expands Campground Insurance Program

Leavitt Recreation & Hospitality Insurance (LRHI) has announced that its RV park and campground program is now available on a general agency basis.

Chris Hipple, vice president of the agency, heads the previously exclusive program.

“Our program has been growing successfully, and we feel it is ready to offer to outside agents,” Hipple stated in a news release. “It provides a partnership with agents who have relationships with RV parks and campgrounds but have been unable to find the coverage to fit their needs.”

LRHI offers a program through Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co. and Penn America, both rated “A” with industry ratings expert A.M. Best. The program overcomes many of the traditional barriers to writing these risks. “Even those with unusual activities or coastal exposure can be considered,” said Hipple.

LRHI has over 25 years of experience insuring RV parks and campgrounds and is one of the largest servicing agencies in the nation. With this focus, the agency has achieved an elite status with the insurance companies it represents. LRHI maintains open communication with carriers to modify coverage and to respond to the changing insurance needs of their clients.
