Pa. Police Look for Semi, Destroyed Park’s Gatehouse (1/18/2019)
Story by Woodall's Campground Management
Police are looking for a tractor trailer and driver they said completely demolished a gatehouse at an RV resort, then fled the scene, according to PennLive.com.
Cornwall Borough police said the tractor trailer turned into an entrance of the PA Dutch Country Resort, 185 Lehman Road in Manheim, at 11:13 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 16) from Pa. 72 which is just north of the PA Turnpike Interchange. Police said the gatehouse is just inside the Lebanon County line.
The truck first crashed through the stop gate and as it continued driving into the resort, the trailer portion of the truck struck the guard house and completely demolished it.
The tractor trailer then drove to the swimming pool area, turned around and fled, police said.
