The expansion of Conneaut Lake Park’s Camperland campground has been given approval by the Summit Township (Pa.) Zoning Hearing Board, according to the Meadville Tribune.
At a hearing last week, the board approved a special exception for Trustees of Conneaut Lake Park to expand the campground by adding 57 RV full-hookup sites, said Cindy McCoy, Summit Township secretary.
Trustees of Conneaut Lake Park is the nonprofit corporation that oversees the amusement park’s operations. It wants to expand Camperland to help Conneaut Lake Park generate more revenue by using a portion of one of the amusement park’s parking lots along the west side of Route 618.
Camperland currently has 56 full hook-up sites with water, electric and sewer, plus 31 tent sites, 22 water and electric sites, and five primitive cabins.
