Since partnering with Kampgrounds of America Inc.'s (KOA) Care Camps in August and creating the Dometic Capital Fund, Dometic has been able to help send children affected by cancer to a safe, fun camp environment, the company reported.
Dometic invites RVX attendees to visit Booth 3739 and take part in their fundraising campaign, which includes 1,000 teddy bears to give away. Dometic is a supplier of RV components.
RVX, the RV Industry Association's annual RV convention, is being held in Salt Lake City, Utah, in mid-March
In addition, KOA Care Camps is hosting a power talk patio session March 14 at 1:45 p.m. “Do Well by Doing Good: Leveraging Corporate Social Responsibility to Improve the Bottom Line.” Laura Petee, director of Dometic marketing has been invited to participate on the panel.
“Being able to share our passion for the outdoors and our mission to satisfy the essential needs of others while they are away from home with children and families fighting cancer is a natural fit for Dometic,” said Petee. “For us, it is more than just corporate social responsibility. It is an opportunity to deeply connect our mission with those in need.”
Since partnering with KOA Care Camps in 2018, Dometic has been able to support various KOA Care Camps' events and outings for kids through the Dometic Capital Fund.
“The Dometic partnership is very unique for Care Camps,” says Wade Elliott, chairman of KOA Care Camps. “We know from research that children with cancer who attend camp have improved treatment outcomes.
“Dometic has worked hand-in-hand with Care Camps to find creative ways to close a gap of more than $300,000 for unfunded repairs in camps throughout North America,” he added. “They have been one of our most passionate supporters to help make sure that any child with cancer has the opportunity to experience the hope and healing that we know camping brings.”
