RV Park, Marina Reopen After $4M Renovation (1/17/2019)

Story by Woodall's Campground Management

More than a year after Hurricane Harvey left it in shambles, one local outdoor recreation landmark has reopened to the public, according to the Beaumont Enterprise.

Beaumont RV and Marina, formerly the Beaumont Yacht Club, in Beaumont, Texas, is back in business following nearly $4 million worth of repairs and additions to the land just north of Interstate 10 near the Purple Heart Bridge.

The business officially reopened at the beginning of December, a moment owner Scott Monroe of USA Self Storage said he feared might never come.

“Had it not been for a team effort from everyone, including the city of Beaumont officials and the patrons’ desire to bring it back, I’m afraid it might not have happened,” Monroe said. “After 16 months of nearly round the clock, seven days a week, we are back on line.”

The complex now features 81 RV sites, which includes Wi-Fi, laundry and bathroom facilities, as well as full hookups to power sources.

Weekly stays are $200, while extended stays (28 days) are $525. RV manager Crystale Callarman said sites remain available.
